Elke brings an exceptional combination of international hospitality, care, and precision. Her background in the Swiss hotel industry, the healthcare sector, and her many years of experience with the Federal Police in Brussels provide an unmatched eye for detail, discretion, and service.
Together, we share one vision: creating a place where guests not only feel welcome but can fully surrender to comfort and serenity.
Originally from Belgium, and after living in Antwerp for many years, a trip to South Africa in 2024 changed everything. We were moved by the impressive nature, the relaxed lifestyle, and the genuine warmth of the people. What started as a dream has become a reality.
When we discovered African Rock Lodge, we knew immediately: this is the place. And we are now delighted to share that experience with you.

African Rock Lodge is deliberately small-scale and exclusively designed, aimed at guests who value peace, privacy, and quality. Therefore, we welcome guests from 18 years of age, ensuring a serene and relaxed atmosphere.
We have four elegantly furnished deluxe rooms and one spacious family room, which will be transformed into a luxurious honeymoon suite in 2027, a perfect setting for a romantic stay.
Each room is carefully curated and exudes a subtle harmony between contemporary comfort and the warm, natural character of the African surroundings.
